Job Summary:
This challenging role involves overseeing a team of experienced payroll administrators to deliver high-quality services to clients, whilst working closely with the Payroll Manager to maintain strategic alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of skilled payroll administrators, focusing on individual and collective performance improvement.
- Implement robust processes for efficient handling of payroll queries and meeting tight deadlines.
- Cooperate with the Payroll Manager to achieve seamless collaboration between departments, facilitating exceptional client satisfaction.
- Handle various payroll-related tasks, encompassing payroll payments and account reconciliations, while driving continuous process enhancements.
- Pursue professional development and mentorship opportunities to advance the skills of team members.
Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience in payroll administration, ideally in a reputable accounting firm or a comparable setting.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, proven through successful team management and employee engagement.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with payroll software like IRIS Payroll Professional.
- In-depth understanding of payroll regulations and industry standards.
- Postgraduate degree in Accounting or a relevant discipline (CIPP Foundation degree beneficial).
Expected Remuneration: An attractive annual salary of £60,000 - £80,000 based on prior experience.
