Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and technically adept Technical Sales Engineer to join our team in Scotland. In this position, you will leverage your engineering expertise and sales acumen to deliver outstanding support and guidance on our extensive range of cutting tools. Your primary objective will be to foster growth by broadening our customer base and enhancing relationships with current clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Growth: Actively pursue and surpass sales objectives by identifying new business opportunities and increasing market presence.
- Customer Engagement: Comprehend and manage customer needs, confidently negotiating and finalizing sales.
- Technical Support: Offer pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance, including conducting presentations and demonstrations that highlight the advantages of our cutting tools.
- Documentation & Reporting: Record cost-saving initiatives and maintain precise records in our CRM system.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with our product team to create tailored solutions that address specific customer requirements.
- Networking: Represent Tungaloy at trade shows, conferences, and marketing events to forge new connections and enhance our market reputation.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Demonstrated success in selling metal cutting tools or a background as a multi-skilled engineer with substantial knowledge in cutting tools.
- Technical Skills: Capability to advise on optimal metal removal rates for various applications including milling, drilling, grooving, turning, and threading. Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings is essential.
- Qualifications: A mechanical engineering qualification or a technical apprenticeship is preferred.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, disciplined, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills. A winning mindset and the ability to work autonomously are vital.
