Nursing Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursing Associate to join our team in Cardiology and Surgery at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a Nursing Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses with ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programs, promoting evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.
- Provide holistic care, incorporating physiological, pathological, spiritual, socio-economic, and cultural aspects to meet individual patient needs.
- Support patients with daily living tasks, provide person-centered care, and promote health and independence through awareness-raising and care navigation.
- Prioritize workload according to changing clinical needs, demonstrating ability to recognize and adapt to changing priorities.
- Contribute to setting goals and benchmarking standards of care, developing tools to improve service quality, and coordinating clinical services across the ward/department.
- Work effectively and efficiently, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills to deliver person-centered care for allocated patients.
- Maintain excellent clinical standards of nursing practice, acting as a patient advocate in line with the NHS plan.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care, participating in nursing audits to achieve agreed standards.
- Contribute to developing and maintaining a ward/department ethos, providing a standard approach to delivering excellent nursing care.
- Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Trust policies, procedures, guidelines, standards, core behaviors, the 6Cs, and the Trust Nursing strategy.
- Identify and report clinical risks to the ward/departmental Sister/Charge nurse, Modern Matron, and provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

- Cardiology/Surgical experience (desirable)
