Job Title: Head of People and Culture

Location: Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters

Salary: Scale 12, Spinal Column Point 52-56, £62,710 - £67,290

Working Arrangements: 36.25 hours per week, flexitime working arrangements.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Human Resources professional to join our inclusive and value-driven public sector organisation with an outstanding organisational culture. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the HR function to deliver exceptional HR services across a range of activities, including:

  • Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI): Develop and implement strategies to promote EDI and create a positive organisational culture.
  • Learning & Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Change Management: Lead and support organisational change initiatives to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Talent Management: Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Workforce Planning: Analyze and develop plans to ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the HR team to deliver exceptional HR services

• Develop and implement strategies to promote EDI and create a positive organisational culture

• Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge

• Lead and support organisational change initiatives

• Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent

• Analyze and develop plans to ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly experienced HR professional with a deep understanding of the public sector equality duty and a commitment to driving meaningful change. You will have a strong track record of leading and delivering HR services in a public sector organisation.
