Critical Care Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Critical Care specialist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a critical care expert, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Sister/Charge nurse position within the Critical Care department. Our team is committed to providing exceptional patient care, as evident from our outstanding CQC reports, ICNARC data, performance metrics, and feedback from patients, relatives, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will possess significant clinical leadership/team management experience, advanced skills in caring for both Level 2 and Level 3 patients, and a Degree or equivalent level of education and experience. They will be responsible for leading and developing our team, ensuring high standards of care, and promoting a positive work environment.

About the Role:
  • Lead and develop our Critical Care team, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Provide expert care for Level 2 and Level 3 patients, utilizing your clinical assessment skills and influencing skills.
  • Contribute to quality improvement projects, demonstrating involvement in initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Role model trust values, upholding our commitment to excellence and professionalism.

As a member of our team, you will be part of a large hospital trust with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per year.
