Area Manager

Join EG Group as an Area Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and operational skills. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the performance of our Cooplands stores in your designated area, driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and motivate a team of store managers to achieve exceptional performance across customer, financial, people, and operational KPIs.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, reduce waste, and improve efficiency across stores.
- Monitor and manage labor costs, budget hours, waste targets, and performance across stores to ensure the right balance of product availability, customer service, and efficiency.
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams, identifying key skills gaps and putting development plans in place to address these and grow talent.
- Ensure compliance with EG Group policies and procedures, maintaining the highest levels of food safety and hygiene across stores.
- Audit stock control across stores, identifying losses and investigating concerns.
- Communicate promotional offers to teams, ensuring they have the tools needed to manage successful promotions and maximize sales.
- Regularly visit stores to ensure they are compliant with agreed standards, running efficiently, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an area/field management role.
- Highly motivated and target-driven, with strong commercial skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with central support functions.
- Car driver, comfortable traveling to multiple sites on a frequent basis.
