Job Title: Clinical Lead Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Psychiatrist to join our team at Oakdale Centre CiC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing expert psychiatric care to children and adults diagnosed with ADHD.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our new Prescribing Service dedicated to children and adults diagnosed with ADHD. You will be responsible for providing initial assessments, reviewing mental health, social circumstances, and physical health, and generating prescriptions using appropriate prescribing formularies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert psychiatric care to children and adults diagnosed with ADHD
  • Initiate medication regimens and offer ongoing monitoring and support to optimise the well-being and functioning of our clients
  • Work with medical and clinical colleagues and service managers to provide medical expertise to the team
  • Lead the Prescribing Service and develop it from scratch, with huge scope for innovation and growth
  • Contribute to governance and audit, ensuring that service delivery focuses on the quality agenda and that dignity, privacy, and respect are afforded at all times to service users
Requirements
  • Consultant Psychiatrist with relevant experience in treatments for ADHD
  • Full GMC Registration (specialist register)
  • Current MRCPsych status (or equivalent)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Working knowledge of Mental Health Legislation, risk management principles, and practical risk assessment
