Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Oakdale Centre CiC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing expert psychiatric care to individuals with ADHD.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our new Prescribing Service dedicated to children and adults diagnosed with ADHD. You will work closely with our team to design and implement a high-quality service that meets the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert psychiatric care to individuals with ADHD, including medication prescribing, reviews, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Work with medical and clinical colleagues to provide medical expertise to the team.
  • Lead the Clinical Medical Lead of the Prescribing Service.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each client.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness, continued appropriateness, and safety of prescribing interventions.
  • Support the transfer of prescribing and monitoring of ADHD medication to primary care sector.
  • Contribute to governance and audit, ensuring that service delivery focuses on the quality agenda.
Requirements
  • Consultant Psychiatrist with relevant experience in treatments for ADHD.
  • Full GMC Registration (specialist register).
  • Current MRCPsych status (or equivalent).
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Working knowledge of Mental Health Legislation, risk management principles, and practical risk assessment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract.

Pay: From £90.00 per hour.

Ability to commute/relocate: Halifax, West Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Licence/Certification: GMC (preferred).

Work Location: Remote.
