Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking a skilled Package Engineer to oversee the design, coordination, and management of sub-contractor employed in various trades within the project area of works.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, and proven working experience in package management. They will also have the ability to prepare a 3-week look-ahead programme with assistance from the project planner.

The Package Engineer will be responsible for interfacing between internal departments and external agencies, such as Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers, Sub-contractors, Client agents, Clerk of Works, and Site Staff. They will also coordinate and manage sub-contractors, ensuring SRM obligations are understood and discharged.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to monitor progress, quality, and safety on site. The Package Engineer will also be responsible for updating the Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Project Director on all issues.

Key Packages/Areas of focus will be Superstructure. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator and be knowledgeable of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
