An Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) is a highly skilled clinician working at an advanced level across all four pillars of advanced practice at master's Level. This esteemed role often represents a pinnacle achievement in physiotherapy and serves as a gateway to acquiring additional skills such as injection therapy and prescribing.
In this position, you will work as an MSK physiotherapist while embarking on our developing APP pathway. This means you will benefit from substantial investment in your training and development, becoming an APP as part of our award-winning clinical development programme. Working as a developing APP provides great variety day-to-day, as you will have some days focusing on assessing, diagnosing, and signposting patients in advanced clinics and other days treating patients in non-advanced MSK clinics.
Your Development PathwayYou will have three APP development routes to choose from, ranging from more academic approaches to portfolio options. Once you progress through key milestones, your salary will increase accordingly. Most physiotherapists complete the Ascenti APP development pathway within 12 – 36 months, depending on the chosen route and individual circumstances.
Upon joining, you will agree upon a development plan aligned with the Ascenti APP roadmap and receive dedicated time to check in with your supervisors regularly. Additionally, you will attend special support sessions and connect with existing Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners and other developing APPs across Ascenti, allowing you to learn in a collaborative dynamic.
Authentic Autonomy in ClinicAs a developing APP, you will enjoy considerable autonomy in your role while benefiting from the support of your Area Manager and Clinical Mentor throughout your journey. A friendly and dynamic team with approachable management ensures you always have someone to speak with.
