Job Overview

As a Fleet Maintenance Operations Supervisor at Royal Mail, you will play a pivotal role in leading operations across a shift in line with production planning and control requirements. You will deploy agreed processes and staff resources to ensure the Workshop operates safely and delivers high levels of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operations across a shift, ensuring the Workshop operates safely and efficiently
  • Deploy agreed processes and staff resources to meet production planning and control requirements
  • Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment
  • Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles
  • Perform effective stock control processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of work orders and associated vehicle documentation

Requirements

  • Experienced leader with a proven track record of managing a team of vehicle technicians
  • Qualified mechanic with a full manual UK driving license
  • Varied vehicle experience, including LCV / HGV
  • High working standards, with a focus on delivering high-quality work
  • Flexible to service demands, with the ability to work on a flexible shift rota
