What You'll Do at Modulr

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the timely and accurate processing of client money transactions. This includes Faster Payments, Direct Debits, BACS, CHAPS, SEPA, Card transactions, FX, and SWIFT.

  1. Resolve any payment queries raised by our internal client support, compliance, fraud teams, other financial institutions, and payment schemes.
  2. Deal with ad-hoc complex payment and funding queries and incidents, working closely with other business teams and stakeholders to support our clients and resolve problems.
  3. Work with 3rd party payment providers to resolve queries within tight deadlines and in line with our regulatory/payment scheme requirements.
  4. Monitor real-time payment/transaction processes to identify trends, risks, and possible issues.
  5. Assist with managing our risk management profile, escalating internal policy breaches/prevent regulatory breaches, carrying out remediation, and defining mitigating factors and implementing improvements.
  6. Identify, resolve, and escalate all un-reconciled items in a timely manner as per our reconciliation processes.
  7. Effectively manage, report, and oversee client collateral requirements and recoveries, identifying and actively mitigating issues through trend analysis and recovery actions.

This role requires previous experience in payments, reconciliations, safeguarding client funds, or treasury within an operational environment. Knowledge of financial regulations, breach identification, and reporting is also essential.
