Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Autism Support Professional. The successful candidate will work closely with our education team to provide tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and implement educational curricula tailored to meet the needs of students with ASD.
  2. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
  3. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) in collaboration with the lead teacher.
  4. Conduct regular progress monitoring and recording, providing constructive feedback to the lead teacher and contributing to the evaluation of students' performance.
  5. Maintain a safe and organized learning environment by preparing teaching materials, setting up classrooms, and adhering to school policies and procedures.
  6. Pursue ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices for supporting students with ASD and challenging behaviors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children or young adults with autism and challenging behaviors.
  • Holds a relevant teaching assistant qualification or a degree in special education, psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for helping students with special educational needs achieve their full potential.
  • Eligible to work in the UK and holds a valid DBS check, or is willing to undergo a DBS check.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
