About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stroke Medicine Specialist to join our team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Stroke Medicine, you will play a key role in the delivery and future development of our stroke service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the provision of a comprehensive acute stroke service, working closely with consultant colleagues and supporting thrombolysis.
  • Participate in on-call rotas and contribute to the TIA service by assisting in the provision of a daily TIA clinic.
  • Support the lead clinician for stroke in furthering service developments and provide support for stroke clinical governance.
  • Represent the Trust at CCG and Stroke Clinical Advisory Group meetings.

Requirements
  • Evidence of completing an approved period of training in Stroke Medicine
  • MBChB or equivalent qualification
  • Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) or equivalent
  • CCT or within 6 months of AAC date
  • On Specialist Register with GMC and continue to hold a licence to practise
