Residential Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Residential Care Assistant in a leading care home. As a General Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess good organisational and planning skills. You will also be flexible and able to work varied shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and support to residents
- Assisting with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, and toileting
- Preparing meals and snacks for residents
- Participating in activities and providing companionship
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment
Requirements:
- A compassionate and caring nature
- Excellent communication skills and ability to use IT systems
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- A flexible approach to working hours
This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Estimated Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience. Austin Fraser offers a competitive salary and benefits package to its employees.
