About the Opportunity

Jacobs is seeking experienced Practitioner Planning Engineers and Assistant Planning Engineers to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team, supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage schedules to incorporate risk, change, resource requirements, and cost in accordance with EDF Generation Company requirements and standards.
  • Create plans for the full project lifecycle, including development and design in the Nuclear Defueling team, supporting delivery of the client's ALR2 commitments.
  • Work closely with the client Project Manager, Programme Manager, and/or Construction Manager to ensure project delivery meets client expectations.
  • Establish and monitor a cost and resource loaded, logic linked, baseline plan for the project in accordance with Programme Office processes.
  • Integrate 3rd party schedules and data into the overall project plan.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management and provide monthly reports through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.
Requirements
  • Minimum of HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience.
  • Breadth of experience across the whole project and programme lifecycle.
  • Experience with the latest version of Primavera.
  • Ability to develop, control, monitor, analyse, and report on schedule-related aspects for designated projects within a Portfolio.
  • Leadership skills to ensure the project plan embraces the full project work scope, is fit for purpose, and is achievable.
