Product Planning Engineer

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions is a world leader in engineered polymer solutions, and we're looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Product Planning Engineer. This role involves establishing product costs and transfer prices, implementing and managing bills of materials and routings, and developing production plans to improve resource utilization and meet production specifications and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming requests, monitor workload, and report to the team tracker and daily team meeting.
  • Develop and implement production plans to improve resource utilization and meet production specifications and schedules.
  • Check manufacturing drawings for completeness and release before planning, review with production, and suggest improvements/corrections as necessary.
  • Produce product costings, including requesting prices from the supply chain as necessary.
  • Respond to RFQs by producing product quotes according to the RFQ requirements received.

Requirements:

  • Technical education background in engineering.
  • Able to analyze problems logically.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-managed.
  • Able to operate with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
  • First-class people skills.
  • Experience in a mechanical engineering/manufacturing field would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to cope with rapidly changing priorities within the business.
  • Planning and interpersonal skills.
  • PC skills, especially including Excel and TSS IT/systems.

This position is based on-site at Bridgwater. Trelleborg must ensure that anyone we're looking to employ is legally allowed to work in the UK before their employment begins.
