About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people to access highly personalised programmes of study.

You will need to be enthusiastic, able to use your own initiative, have a drive and resilience for what is often a demanding role; and you must be people-centred with good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with both staff and pupils.

Whilst we value relevant experience, it is not essential for candidates to have previously worked with autistic individuals - all we ask is that you are hard-working, willing to learn and committed to promoting the positive development of children and young people.

About NEAS

For over 40 years, we have led the way in providing autism-specific care and education for children, young people, and adults across the North-East of England.

We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and believe everyone has the right to be themselves. We celebrate diversity and recognise the value and opportunity it brings.

We are committed to creating a workplace where all differences are valued, and we make sure that all colleagues are given the same opportunities.

It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children and/or vulnerable adults.
