Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Systemic Family Psychotherapist to join our Eating Disorder Inpatient Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive systemic assessments and interventions for patients and their families, helping them understand and heal within the family dynamic.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialist family therapy sessions to patients and their families, promoting lasting change and recovery.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a unified approach to patient care, actively engaging in assessment, care planning, and facilitating psycho-educational and support groups for families.
  • Contribute to ward rounds, CPAs, and team care planning, offering insights from a therapeutic, systemic perspective.
  • Lead systemic consultations across the MDT and provide training to staff members, fostering a culture of systemic thinking and practice across the service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential qualifications include being a UKCP-registered Systemic Family Psychotherapist (via the College of Family, Couple, and Systemic Therapy), holding an MSc in Family Therapies, and having experience in risk assessment and risk management within inpatient mental health services.
