Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales Supervisor to join our team at our Ralph Lauren store in Manchester. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for the sales and KPI performance in assigned department/s
  • Partner with Brand Liaison Officer, Frasers buying, RL wholesale team to build on business opportunities and achieve business performance goals
  • Lead weekly host store management meetings and participate in regional Ralph Lauren meetings
  • Communicate with host store staff daily on individual sales goals and other key performance indicators
  • Deliver company customer service initiatives and continually search for ways to improve service
  • Collaborate in the recruitment, selection, supervision, and development of the team
  • Collaborate with store management team on performance reviews and agreeing Personal Development Plans to support retention
  • Train and test the team on product knowledge
  • Communicate clear sales and service goals and expectations to sales team, providing coaching, training, and constructive feedback
  • Use department business reports, profiling, and space analysis information effectively
  • Manage the department environment to ensure it represents the brand and complies with creative and product presentation
  • Establish and maintain an effective replenishment process in line with store requirements
  • Oversee merchandise install directives and ensure standards are effectively maintained
  • Promote and manage a high level of security discipline

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive retail experience
  • Minimum 2 years of store/dept management experience in the service or fashion retail industry
  • In-depth knowledge of the retail market, including competitor activity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, energetic and authentic presence on the shop floor
  • Desire to build relationships and promote teamwork and develop people
  • Confident in giving feedback that promotes positive behavioral change
  • High level of analytical and reporting skill
  • Action-oriented and solution-driven to achieve results
  • Competent in IT systems, including Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Team player who recognizes and celebrates the contributions and achievements of others
