Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a Senior Care and Support Assistant to join our team at Clover Court in Lowestoft.

This exciting opportunity will see you working in a CQC-registered scheme, providing personal care and support to customers and leading a team of Care and Support Assistants.

As a Senior Care and Support Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of Care and Support Assistants
  • Working closely with staff to provide personal care and support to customers
  • Safe handling of medication
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments as appropriate
  • Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers

We're looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience supervising a team
  • A personalised approach to care and support, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with people from varied backgrounds
  • Recent experience of working in a similar role with vulnerable people is essential
  • An enthusiastic and flexible attitude with a strong 'can-do' attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • An understanding of relevant legislation and best practice
  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards is desirable
