As a key member of our perioperative services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deputise for the Senior Theatre Practitioner as required, ensuring seamless continuity of care and maintaining accurate records and information systems.
- Ensure the safe control, custody, and administration of all drugs within the peri-operative area, adhering to Trust Policies and national legislation.
- Collaborate with the Team Leader to ensure clinical/nursing practices align with the departmental philosophy, promoting a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
- Communicate effectively with all disciplines, patients, clients, and relatives, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions, demonstrating relevant IT and keyboard skills to enhance electronic data collection and communication.
- Contribute to the development of specialized areas within perioperative services, working closely with the Team Leader and Senior Theatre Practitioner.
- Ensure the security of the working area is maintained, promoting a safe working environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Attend routine departmental meetings, contributing to the discussion and decision-making process.
- Ensure adequate stock levels of consumables are maintained, ordering equipment and supplies as delegated.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
