About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Theatre Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Royal Sussex County Hospital. As a Band 6 Theatre Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of anaesthetic care and patient safety.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and managerial support to the Team Leader, ensuring smooth and effective theatre operations.
  • Lead by example, offering clinical leadership, guidance, and teaching to all relevant staff within your specialist area.
  • Provide expert technical and clinical advice to colleagues within the peri-operative environment, enhancing the quality of care provided.
  • Support and inform patients undergoing anaesthesia and surgery, ensuring their experience is as comfortable and safe as possible.
  • Assist in the development of safe, high-quality specialist care, adhering to the Trust's Nursing & Midwifery guidelines.

Person Specification

  • Professional Registration with the NMC/HCPC.
  • Dual Trained Scrub and Anaesthetics.
  • Post-qualification theatre experience.
