Leadership Role for Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Lead Occupational Therapist and contribute to the development, implementation, and delivery of high-quality care for individuals with a Learning Disability and/or Autism in our specialist acute inpatient mental health service and outreach team.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and expertise, shape the clinical and operational model, and work closely with a rich multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy, including sensory interventions and assessments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to develop their knowledge and skills, take on a key leadership role within our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the wider AHP leadership group.

You will lead the Allied Health Professionals Team, work closely with our multidisciplinary team, and have opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the clinical and operational model for the inpatient service.
  • Lead the Allied Health Professionals Team and contribute to the wider AHP leadership group.
  • Deliver evidence-based Occupational Therapy, including sensory interventions and assessments.

Requirements:

  • Experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in relevant community and physical health settings.
  • Advanced occupational therapy skills, including experience working with complexity in both physical and mental health and Autism and Learning Disabilities.
  • Ability to lead a team and represent Occupational Therapy and allied health professional colleagues.

Estimated Salary: £58,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
