Clinical Expert in Learning Disability and Autism

We are seeking an exceptional Clinical Psychologist to provide leadership in delivering excellent care for people with a learning disability and autistic individuals in our specialist acute inpatient mental health service and outreach team.
Avon and Wiltshire Partnership NHS Trust is committed to transforming end-to-end pathways in the region, aiming to be a centre of excellence. As part of this initiative, we require an experienced professional to work as a core member of the project team until the service opening.
In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and delivering the clinical and operational model, particularly in relation to psychological therapies. You will also take a leadership role within the wider psychology services for people with learning disabilities in the trust.
The successful candidate will have extensive understanding, skills, and experience regarding the clinical needs of people with a learning disability and/or Autism. They will be employed to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with complex needs, joining a team of enthusiastic and dedicated community-based Psychologists.

Key Responsibilities:- To lead the development, implementation, and delivery of the clinical and operational model in relation to psychological therapies.
- To provide expert advice and guidance on matters related to learning disability and autism.
- To work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- To contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services for people with learning disabilities.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Possession of relevant qualifications and experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychological therapies, including assessment, formulation, and intervention.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
