About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join our client, a leading manufacturer in Derbyshire. As a key member of the site team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to drive a safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide EHS guidance to site management and staff
  • Conduct and review risk assessments for routine and non-routine tasks
  • Assist Plant Managers in updating and reviewing EHS procedures, including emergency procedures
  • Support incident investigation and reporting as required
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain necessary documentation
  • Attend quarterly EHS meetings and ensure audit and inspection issues are addressed
  • Collaborate with the UK EHS Manager and provide backup support
  • Assist with environmental site records, including waste management and energy tracking
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors for on-site audits
  • Support the production of EHS documentation and facilitate assessments for fire, noise, dust, and legionella

Requirements

  • NEBOSH qualification and strong knowledge of HSE legislation and standards
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to train and educate staff on EHS matters
  • Knowledge of ISO14001/18001 is desirable
