Health and Social Care Trainer

Bradcare Limited is seeking a skilled Health and Social Care Trainer to join our team. As a Health and Social Care Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the learning and development of adult learners to upskill existing health and social care workers and support their career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Learning: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions, workshops, and tutorials in line with the curriculum requirements and the needs of individual learners, ensuring learning objectives are met.
- Learner Support: Assess learners' abilities and identify areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly.
- Engagement and Motivation: Develop and deliver consistently engaging and interactive sessions, utilising a variety of teaching techniques and materials to enhance learners' understanding and engagement with the subject/topic.
- Progress Monitoring: Rigorously monitor and track learners' progress, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies to address areas of weakness or underperformance.
- Assessment and Feedback: Set and mark assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to learners to support their learning and improvement.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to share best practices, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Learning Environment: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, actively promoting learner participation, motivation, and confidence in professional development.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of learners' attendance, progress, and assessment outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with learners, employers, and relevant stakeholders to provide updates on progress, address concerns, and foster effective partnerships in support of learner success.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 teaching, learning, and assessment qualification, such as AET or PTLLS, or willingness to work toward.
- Subject Specialism: Level 4 or above subject specialism.
- Assessment and Verification: Level 3 CAVA or equivalent, or willingness to work toward.
- Language and Mathematics: GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Driving Licence: Full Driving Licence.
- Quality Assurance: Level 4 IQA or equivalent.
- Teaching Qualification: L5 teaching qualification or willingness to work toward.
- First Aid and Health and Safety: First Aid at Work Certificate and IOSH Health and Safety Qualification.
- Experience: Extensive handson experience and a strong track record in the Health and Social Care sector.
- Teaching and Training: Teaching or training experience with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
- Curriculum Development: Previous experience working as a health and social care tutor or in a similar training role, and experience in curriculum development and educational material creation.
- Knowledge and Skills: Sound knowledge of health and social care practices, sector regulations, and health and safety protocols, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effective organisational skills, patience, adaptability, and the ability to tailor teaching, learning, and assessment methods to various learning styles, and IT literacy for creating and maintaining digital training resources.
