An award-winning commercial vehicle maintenance company is seeking a skilled Estimates Controller to join their busy office in Wednesbury. This is an exciting and fast-paced role that requires a confident communicator and strong organisational skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing parts for the smooth progression of repair events for clients and their customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and source obscure parts and equipment using Google, search engines, and direct communication with suppliers.
  2. Collect and evaluate data to estimate parts, equipment, and labour for follow-up repairs.
  3. Prepare and send quotes to customers, respond to queries, and handle authorisations.
  4. Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams.
  5. Provide excellent customer service, responding to telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  6. Update customers and colleagues on next steps and actions taken.
  7. Verify details of ongoing events, update status, and confirm accurately.
  8. Review engineer job sheets to ensure accurate part requirements.
  9. Document clear notes for parts colleagues to order and ship correct parts.
  10. Work closely with engineers to develop a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  11. Manage email inboxes efficiently, addressing issues and reporting incidents to line managers.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  3. Strong numeracy and organisational skills.
  4. Previous experience in an Estimator Role in the commercial vehicle or Automotive Industry (desirable).
