Accounts Assistant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team at HB People Recruitment & HR Specialists. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process sales invoices on Sage 50 and EDI, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
  • Manage the sales ledger, including credit control and reconciliation of customer statements.
  • Process purchase ledger invoices on Sage 50, including product invoices and supplier statements.
  • Assist in other areas as required, including data entry and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in sales and/or purchase ledger is essential.
  • Basic Excel skills are required, with experience in accounts systems (Sage 50 and EDI desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in an open-plan office.
  • A car owner/driver is ideal due to the location, with free car parking available.
