Healthcare Support Specialist

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to support students in a nurturing school environment.
Job DescriptionThis role involves working closely with the teaching and healthcare teams to provide learning support and tailored care to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD).
- Assisting students with personal care, including toileting, changing, and feeding.
- Monitoring and attending to medical needs, such as tube feeding and medication administration.
- Providing emotional support and building positive relationships with students to foster a safe and happy learning environment.
- Ensuring that safeguarding and health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
We are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in working with children with complex needs. Experience working with individuals with PMLD or in a healthcare setting is desirable, but we are happy to consider candidates with a strong willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in a similar role (SEND school, care setting, or healthcare).
- Knowledge or experience of working with children with PMLD or complex medical needs.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or Teaching Support.
- $85-$95 per hour.
