About this role

This is a part-time role requiring the post holder to work 22.5 hours per week as a Counsellor within our Domestic Abuse counselling Service. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with the ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients.

Job Description

As a Counsellor with Waythrough, you will provide high volume, therapeutic interventions (with greater or lesser need) and short term counselling to clients with potential anxiety issues and depression.

You will also undertake client assessments including risk, make decisions on the suitability of new referrals, continuously develop your professional knowledge and expertise and keep coherent records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A L4 Diploma or above in Counselling;
  • An affiliated member of the BACP/UKCP;
  • Experience of working with women who have been subjected to domestic abuse;
