Merchant Account Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional within the Building / Plumbing / Electrical industry to transition into a role that leverages their expertise in account management. Our client is seeking an individual with a proven track record of working with Building / Plumbing / Electrical merchants and a desire to drive growth and customer acquisition in TradeKart.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build Strong Merchant Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with merchant branch networks to drive activation activity and engagement.
  • Merchant Education and Incentivization: Educate and incentivize merchant staff on our client's proposition and operational requirements.
  • Day-to-Day Merchant Operations: Manage day-to-day merchant operations, including support on live orders to drive quick order acceptance and efficiency with picking and packing.
  • Operational Performance Analysis: Use data to inform operational performance and drive tactical and longer-term improvement plans.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Execute a creative communication plan with merchant partners to inform, update, and incentivize performance and activity.
  • Bridge between Merchant Partners and Our Team: Act as the bridge between our merchant partners and our team to deliver collaborative solutions for merchant success.
  • Feedback and Insights: Obtain feedback and insights on operational activity, proposition, and sentiment across employees within merchants.
  • Activity Calendar: Craft a structured calendar of activity to be implemented monthly and quarterly from a toolkit across promotions, events, incentives, etc.
  • Tactics for Growth: Implement tactics to jointly grow and acquire new customers.
  • Training and Development: Carry out interactive training sessions.
  • Reporting: Report to the Head of Merchants.
