About the Role

Based at our manufacturing site in Skelmersdale, with occasional travel to other sites in the North West, this full-time (Mon-Fri) permanent HR Advisor role reports to the site HR Manager. Join our talented and friendly on-site HR team, bringing your knowledge and enthusiasm to support our people strategy while continuing to develop your skills and experience.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will support and develop local workforce initiatives, monitor and evaluate HR analytics to prioritize project development, and collaborate with colleagues on people projects to ensure successful implementation. You will also improve line management capability regarding people matters through effective coaching and guidance, manage multiple D&G casework including complex ER situations, and lead and drive Works Council Meetings and Employee Collaboration. Additionally, you will support the Employer Attractiveness and Talent Acquisition team with recruitment and selection activities, promoting Essity as an Employer of Choice.

Who You Are

You should have previous HR experience at Advisor or Officer level, ideally within a unionized environment, and ideally have completed or studying towards CIPD Level 5. Experience working with and developing employee handbooks, policies, and procedures, as well as HR systems (Essity uses Workday, but training can be provided), is essential. With excellent skills in Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, accuracy and attention to detail, a professional approach to work, respecting confidentiality, and the ability to effectively work in a changing environment, using strong communication and listening skills.
