Primary SEN Learning Support Professional Job Summary

\

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Learning Support Professional to join our team at a primary SEN school in Skelmersdale. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children with SEN, a strong understanding of SEN principles, and excellent communication skills.

\Main Responsibilities:\

  2. Provide high-quality support to pupils with SEN, addressing their individual needs and promoting independence.\
  3. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, other support professionals, and parents to develop and implement personalized learning plans.\
  4. Conduct assessments and observations to inform teaching and learning strategies, ensuring pupils receive the right level of support.\
  5. Develop and maintain accurate records of pupil progress, sharing updates with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.\
  6. Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting respect, empathy, and understanding among pupils, staff, and the wider community.\
  7. Participate in staff meetings, contributing to discussions on pupil progress, curriculum development, and school policies.\
  8. Support the SENCO in coordinating SEN initiatives, events, and activities, ensuring alignment with school goals and objectives.\
  9. Collaborate with external agencies, such as healthcare professionals and social services, to ensure comprehensive support for pupils.\
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and school policies related to SEN and child protection.\
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection protocols when handling sensitive information.\
