Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate teaching assistant to join our team in the Exeter area. As a 1:1 support worker for a pupil with SEND, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

About the Job

This is a temporary position requiring a driver who is available to work Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the pupil's educational and personal development, working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to the pupil with SEND
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement effective support plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to meet the pupil's needs
  • Support the pupil's physical and emotional well-being, including helping with daily living tasks and managing behaviour

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children with SEND
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
