Job Overview

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Devon County Council. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of primary-aged children by providing assistance in the classroom and promoting their learning experiences.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with relevant experience of working with children to join our highly regarded teaching assistant staff within the Trust. You will be responsible for supporting children in all areas of the curriculum, assisting in the preparation of the learning environment, and carrying out a range of administrative tasks to support the teacher.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children in all areas of the curriculum, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Assist in the preparation of the learning environment, including setting up play provision and helping with family dining arrangements.
  • Carry out a range of administrative tasks, including maintaining pupil records and liaising with staff.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £23,000 per annum, which is pro rata adjusted for your hours per week and weeks worked per year. You will also benefit from a generous pension scheme, a health scheme, a cycle to work scheme, and subsidised meals in our staff café with food cooked and served by our own chefs.
