Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team at an SEND school in Exeter. The successful candidate will work on a full-time, long-term basis with the potential for a permanent position.
The school provides a highly personalized education programme for students with complex needs or EHCP pupils at risk of moving into residential placements. The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students, often including one-to-one assistance and customized timetables based on thematic learning approaches.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working as part of a collaborative team to support students' academic progress and well-being
- Providing individualized support to students with complex needs
- Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
We are looking for candidates who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. A UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.
The estimated salary for this position is £83,333 per annum, based on a 37-hour working week.
