About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team in the Heanor, Ilkeston, and Ripley areas. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centered care to residents, following individual care plans and ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained.
  • Assist with personal care duties, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as observation checks to ensure resident safety and hygiene.
  • Participate in activities and events to engage residents and promote a sense of community.
  • Operate moving and handling equipment safely and effectively to support residents with mobility needs.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns.
  • Undertake basic cleaning duties, adhering to cleaning rotas and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Full and up-to-date CV
  • Referenceable work history, displaying at least 3 months of paid UK experience working within a care home
  • Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 6 months or registered on the update service
  • Mandatory training certificates relevant to the role, dated within the past 12 months
  • Proof of COVID vaccination is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong communication skills
Working Hours
  • 06:45 to 14:30
  • 14:15 to 22:00
  • 06:45 to 22:00
  • 22:00 to 07:00
Pay Rate
  • £11.60 per hour for day shifts
  • £12.00 per hour for night shift
