We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in the Heanor, Ilkeston, Ripley, and Codnor areas. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centered care to residents, adhering to their individual care plans and preferences.
  • Assist with personal care duties, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, while maintaining residents' dignity and comfort.
  • Conduct regular observation checks to ensure residents' safety and hygiene standards are met.
  • Participate in activities designed to engage and entertain residents, promoting their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Operate moving and handling equipment safely and efficiently to assist residents with mobility needs.
  • Oversee the health and safety of residents under your care, reporting any concerns or incidents to senior staff.
  • Contribute to a clean and safe environment by undertaking basic cleaning duties, adhering to rotas and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • A full and up-to-date CV.
  • Referenceable work history, demonstrating at least 3 months of paid UK experience in a care home setting.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate, dated within the past 6 months or registered on the update service.
  • Mandatory training certificates relevant to the role, dated within the past 12 months.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination (beneficial but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills.
Working Hours
  • 06:45 to 14:30.
  • 14:15 to 22:00.
  • 06:45 to 22:00.
  • 22:00 to 07:00.
Pay Rate
  • £11.60 per hour for day shifts.
  • £12.00 per hour for night shifts.
