Production Editor

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Editor to join our team at Taylor & Francis Group. As a Production Editor, you will play a critical role in overseeing the production of new titles from receipt of the author's un-copyedited typescript through to delivery of the final product.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming queries from authors and editors, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Maintain up-to-date information on our database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct quality control of final content, ensuring it meets our quality standards.
- Control schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Assess and code invoices for prompt supplier payment.
- Liaise with authors as needed, providing necessary support and guidance.
- Complete multiple tasks to deadlines within a process-driven environment.
Requirements
- Be accustomed to prioritizing and working to deadlines, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Have excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify errors.
- Understand the importance of maintaining information relied on by others, ideally through experience of using a database.
- Be able to manage expectations, ensuring delivery to everyone's satisfaction.
- Have the ability to problem-solve and think critically.
- Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Have the ability to build rapport with people and offer first-class customer service.
- Adapt well to change and not be daunted by changing priorities.
- Have basic skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
