This vibrant establishment is seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join their dynamic kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Chef: Assist in the planning, development, and execution of a creative and diverse menu that aligns with the gastro pub's reputation for excellence.
  • Lead Kitchen Operations: Take charge of kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and service.
  • Train, Mentor, and Manage Junior Kitchen Staff: Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, ensuring junior staff are equipped to deliver exceptional results.
  • Ensure Compliance with Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen.
  • Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food cost controls to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Contribute Ideas for New Dishes and Menu Enhancements: Stay current with food trends and customer preferences, driving innovation and excellence in the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-quality, fast-paced kitchen.
  • A genuine passion for food, with a creative flair and the drive to continually push the boundaries of the menu.
  • Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
