About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Share Your Story with Scotland coordinator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the care experienced community, collecting their stories and experiences through oral history.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the collection and preservation of these stories, ensuring that they are accurately recorded and transcribed. You will also work closely with our artists to develop engaging interactive installations and exhibitions that showcase the stories collected.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds. A strong understanding of the care experienced community and its challenges is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the collection and preservation of oral histories from the care experienced community
  • Work closely with artists to develop engaging interactive installations and exhibitions
  • BUILD TRUST AND RAPPORT WITH INDIVIDUALS FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS
  • Collaborate with the National Theatre of Scotland team to ensure the successful delivery of the project
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups and organizations

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in community engagement and outreach
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
