The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Hotel Receptionist at the Holiday Inn Edinburgh. As the first point of contact for guests, you will be responsible for providing a warm and friendly welcome, ensuring a seamless check-in process, and assisting guests throughout their stay with any queries or requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their queries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the front desk, handling check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments, as well as processing payments and handling guest complaints.
  • Assist guests with information about the hotel and local area, including directions, recommendations, and making reservations.
  • Handle incoming calls, respond to emails, and maintain accurate records of guest interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with the hotel team to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, be flexible and adaptable to changes, and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Prior experience working in a similar role, with knowledge of hotel operations and reservation systems.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in using software such as MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
