Senior Power Electronics Specialist

As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer at Nidec Drives, you will report to the Product Development Manager and be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing power electronics and auxiliary circuits. This includes technical disciplines such as component evaluation, circuit analysis and simulations, thermal and mechanical design, and PCB review with consideration for manufacturing requirements.
You will contribute to the creation of new designs, product specifications, critical power components, and develop analogue, digital, and electronic circuits/systems for power electronics. Your designs must meet agreed functional design requirements and conform to international EMC and Safety requirements and regulations.
Your key responsibilities will include interfacing with external suppliers, participating in product design reviews, and maintaining daily interaction with engineers from multiple disciplines to ensure solutions fit well with the drive architecture.
You will also manage and facilitate type test meetings, develop test equipment, prepare concise and clear technical documentation and reports, present, discuss, and justify design concepts and ideas.
A competitive salary is offered: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum based on experience and current market rates.
