About the Role:
This Senior Power Electronics Engineer position requires a solid understanding of power electronics, circuit analysis, and simulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement power electronics and auxiliary circuits.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to meet regulatory requirements.
- Manage test equipment development and facilitate type test meetings.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports, presenting design concepts.
- Contribute to technical design reviews and critique others' designs.
- Support junior engineers in their professional development.
Requirements:
- Masters Degree (MEng) in Power Electronics or relevant field.
- Proven experience as an Engineer, preferably in power electronics.
- Strong understanding of power electronic devices, topologies, and control systems.
- Experience using simulation tools (PLECS, Saber, Simetrix, Pspice, or Mathlab Simulink).
- Awareness of emerging technologies and desire to innovate designs and products.
Compensation:
- £85,000 - £115,000 per annum, based on experience and market rates.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays.
