About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Director to join our Maintenance & Estates Service team at Mackie Myers. As a leading social housing organisation, we are committed to delivering quality housing services to our tenants.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Substantial experience in public sector procurement, particularly with the Public Contracts Regulations
- Proven track record in managing full-cycle procurement processes
- Experience in creating tenders from scratch through to contract award
- Strong background in property maintenance/building services procurement
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and demonstrate commercial acumen
- CIPS qualification desirable
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading end-to-end procurement processes for complex maintenance contracts
- Creating and managing tender documentation for various property services
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to develop procurement strategies
- Ensuring compliance with Public Contracts Regulations
- Managing relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Reporting on procurement spend and efficiencies achieved
