Estates Compliance Director

Finegreen is currently supporting a large NHS organisation in the appointment of a senior Estates professional to manage their Compliance on an interim basis.

The post holder will provide a lead in all matters related to auditing and ensuring that the Estates and Facilities Directorate and the organisation is fully compliant with all statutory and other relevant approved codes of practice such as Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs) and Premises Assurance Model (PAM).

  • Expertise in healthcare estates related compliance is required.
  • The post holder will play a key role in the directorate's compliance meetings.
  • Management of, operation of, population of, and development of the Estates and Facilities compliance systems.
  • Preparation of regular detailed reports on Estates Compliance matters for monthly reporting and presentation at appropriate meetings and committees.
  • Drafting and presentation of a regular standardised Compliance Report to the Estates and Facilities Directorate Compliance meeting.
  • Participation in the Estates and Facilities Team structure and deputising for colleagues as requested.
  • Compilation of the Estates training matrix and ensuring all staff training is up to date as required under HTM requirements.
  • Responsibility for ensuring all the Directorate Policies are up to date.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in an engineering or building related discipline or suitable appropriate experience plus specialist knowledge.
  • Experience of managing an estates maintenance team and contractors.
  • Held a similar role within NHS Estates Compliance with a thorough command of HTMs etc.
  • Engineering auditing experience.
