About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our Specialist Foster Care Scheme team at Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess potential foster carers and provide supervision and support to existing foster carers.
  • Conduct robust and analytical assessments to ensure the best possible care for children.
  • Deliver a high-quality service that prioritizes the wellbeing and safety of children.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
Requirements
  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
  • Extensive knowledge of trauma-informed practice and legislation underpinning social care.
  • At least 2 years of post-qualifying experience in a statutory setting.
  • Ability to work across the Cheshire West and Chester Borough and beyond.
