An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team at a leading care home in the Northampton area.

This care home offers a supportive and stimulating environment for residents, with purpose-built facilities and a strong focus on delivering high-quality care.

To be considered for this role, you must have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.

As a Senior Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Recognising and facilitating the daily needs of residents
  • Conducting formal supervisions and appraisals
  • Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
  • Participating in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
  • Being responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
  • Administering medication to residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of working in a care setting
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A genuine desire to care for others

This is a permanent full-time role working 36 hours a week on days, with a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour and a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, comprehensive induction and training programme, and enhanced rates for bank holidays.
