Job Description

Consumer Additions and Consumer Exec are seeking a highly skilled Head of Financial Reporting and Control to join their team in West London.

The successful candidate will lead all financial reporting and control, tax, treasury, audit, banking, and other related functions. They will also be responsible for driving key strategic programs such as acquisition accounting and integration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IFRS reporting standards and a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reporting. They will also have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the provision of monthly management information and performance indicators to the Board and other stakeholders.
  • Group Financial Reporting: Take ownership of delivering high-quality group financial reporting to the financial markets and investors, including preparing key accounting estimates and leading the drafting of the consolidated IFRS financial statements.
  • External Audit: Manage the Group's external audit, including drafting/reviewing key financial reporting position papers and providing high-quality and timely information to the auditors.
  • Technical Accounting: Lead on technical accounting matters under IFRS, including drafting papers and presenting to the Executive Committee/Audit Committee Chair.
  • Reporting Processes: Review, implement, and enhance reporting processes and key controls across the broader business, including managing the integration of acquired businesses into our existing controls framework and systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory, banking covenant, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Tax Advisory: Maintain and manage the relationship with external tax advisors.
  • Acquisition Support: Provide acquisition and corporate transaction support, including preparation and review of financial data, due diligence, and analyses.
  • Team Leadership: Develop, coach, and foster engagement across the Financial Reporting team, and influence broader team culture, capabilities, motivation, succession, and development.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Big 4 ACA (ICAEW) or CA (ICAS) qualified with at least 5+ years PQE, experience working in a reporting role within industry desirable.
  • Experience: Experience auditing and/or working for a listed business.
  • Skills: Strong IFRS financial accounting skills, including a strong working knowledge of key financial controls, IFRS15, and acquisition/disposal accounting.

Working Arrangements: Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the office, with occasional periods of 4 days per week.
